Too much lately I have seen my fellow Republican friends and followers on social networking sites such as twitter, myspace and facebook, abandoning the Republican Party as a whole. While they remain conservative, they no longer want to be associated with the GOP. Do I blame them? No… but I do wonder why some people jump ship so much.

When I joined the Republican Party at age 18 when I registered to vote, I did so because of the views of most people who are also Republican. Pro-Life, lower taxes, limited government, death penalty, war, the environment and so forth.

Now it seems that even though we still have the same views as before, we can’t seem to grasp the “limited government” part of the spectrum.

Too much empowerment to either political party, and you end up with the government that we have now. A president with a socialistic agenda that wants to control everything from health care to the economy.

The GOP has not had a strong “leader” in quite a few years. While George W. Bush had some great things going for him, I do not think he was the leader we need to represent the Republican Party.
The entire GOP needs to be reconstructed from the ground up. I will always stand for and claim Republican as my party, but there needs to be some changes made if we are to avoid losing voters to the Marxist left wingers.

When I first heard of the Tea Parties that were being held on tax day, I was so excited I felt like a kid in a candy store. It seemed that us conservatives were finally stepping up to something! The Tulsa Tea Party was a great success with 3500+ attending at LaFortune Park. (We have another tea party July 4th in Broken Arrow from 10am-2pm at Haikey Creek Park. For more information, please visit http://www.okfortea.com/) After the tea party was over, I didn’t see a whole lot during the next few months of anyone doing much of anything to continue our support for what is right, and what we believe. We need a strong leader and someone who can guide the GOP back to its roots.

We may be a nation in distress right now, but I still hold my head high and call myself Republican. 2010 and 2012 will be a new beginning and a clean sweep for the GOP. I believe the USA is finally waking up and seeing that Barack Obama and his cabnet of ill willed advisors are not providing the “hope and change” that was so promised long ago.

Someone please shut her up!

Someone please shut her up!

Once again, Meghan McCain, political überditz, is unilaterally trying to reform the Republican Party. In a radio interview with CNN affiliate KTAR’s Mac & Gaydos show, Meghan told the audience that the GOP needs to become “an umbrella party.”

I just wish that moderates like myself – more moderate Republicans andmore socially liberal Republicans – weren’t looked at as, ‘Get rid of the dirty moderates. Get rid of them.’

We need to be an inclusive party. We need to be an umbrella party. We need to inspire 20-somethings,which is something the Obama campaign did very well.”

No, what you need to do Meghan is teach the no-nothing 20-somethings about our heritage, about the rule of law, about freedom and independence. Teach them about fiscal responsibility. Teach them that the government belongs to the people, not the people (and our property) to the government. Perhaps if you tell them that, they may believe you, and begin the path to recovery.

We are in a war for the Republic. The current crop of Obama-zombies have no idea what the government’s proper role is. They believe the government can give them health care on the backs of the rich. They believe our planet is in jeopardy and that using gasoline is the cause. They believe these lies because you are too busy adjusting your make-up to correct them.

Being ‘inclusive’ will only stop the MSM from beating up on you, while they snicker at you behind your back. They have been using this ploy for decades to lull gullible Republicans into assisting them in their plans to vacate our Constitution. AND YOU’RE HELPING THEM DESTROY MY COUNTRY!

For the love of God, please read something other than Vogue magazine for a change. Lean your history. You have enough street cred with 20-somethings to actually make a difference to our way of life. So either help out, or shut up. If you continue down this path, you will end up a Democrat…like Specter.
